Geoffrey Rans Sept 19531960      Geoffrey Rans replaced Ossie Harland. Died in Canada in 2001 of lung cancer. He had had a chair for many years at the University of London, Ontario, and had become a notable authority on Hawthorne. Also well known for his commentary on the works of James Fenimore Cooper
